In a rare incident, the North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, has forwarded his apologies to the neighbouring South Korea government. The apology came in response for the incident of shooting a South Korean man to death and setting his body to fire by the North Korea soldiers. It stated the incident as an effort to stop the spread of the novel coronavirus within its borders.

The adviser Suh Hoon, said that the letter was a response to the request for the explanation of the incident.
