Once again India is witnessing the jump in its per day new Covid infections, on Wednesday the number jumped to 28,903 registering the highest increase since December 13 taking the nationwide tally to 11.44 million. Following the growing cases the per day death figure also increased to 188, which is highest in two months duration taking the overall death tally to 1,59,044.
The indian state of Maharashtra being the worst affected has registered the biggest chunk of the new infections and is currently having the highest number of active cases in the country.
The government has coined crowding, lack of hygienic habits in public places and general carelessness towards using mask for the increasing cases in the state.
