Australia’s Covid-19 vaccine trials have shown promising results during its initial phase, thus putting the country in the race to develop and commercialise the world’s first Covid-19 vaccine. The University of Queensland conducted the animal trial of the vaccine and has released the result of the trials. The vaccine works by locking normally unstable proteins on the surface of the virus. This allows the immune system of the body to respond effectively. The Phase 1 trials of the vaccine started in Australia in the month of July much before it became public.
