The government of Bolivia has confirmed the news to a deal sign with India’s Serum Institute. Now the government is in contract to receive 5 million doses of AstraZeneca’s Covid-19 vaccine. With this deal, the country is now expecting to inoculate its vaccinable population of the country, as they are also in deal with Russia for the supply of 5.2 million doses of Sputnik V vaccine.
With the strong population of nearly 11.51 million people, the country has registered 1,76,761 cases and had suffered 9,454 dealth’s till now. The country is also in agreement through the COVAX initiative for the vaccine and is expecting to receive nearly 3.6 million doses through it. This global initiative has the backing of World Health Organisation to ensure adequate assistance possible to the nations across the globe.
President Luis Arce also informed that the country would be receiving its first 6,000 doses of Russian vaccine Sputnik at the end of January while the first million India made vaccine AstraZeneca in the month of April.
