After the ban on Chinese goods and products, now Chinese e-commerce, like Alibaba has started offering Indian traders platform with big discounts. The same started last week after an informal ban on Chinese products and call of #boycottChineseProducts on the social media platform.
Confederation of All India Traders brought to the notice that it seems like it is a policy to resist the ban on Chinese products in India. Nitin Kedia told us that they have been receiving 3- 4 mails from the Chinese suppliers offering discounts, and not only this if we don’t reply then the mails come offering many more discounts.
CAIT has advised the Indian government to act on Made in India. The list has been made of around 500 Chinese products that are to be banned in phases.
According to Praveen Khandelwal, general secretary of CAIT, the beneficial ban is only possible if e-commerce companies also follow the same. He further expanded that even the e-commerce sites won’t be able to sell the Chinese items, very soon. A new policy will be introduced in a month, on which the government has already started working.
