As restrictions of lockdown due to the spread of the deadly novel coronavirus got relaxed, the factory activities of India started to expand. This expansion in the PMI is seen as the fastest one in the past 8 years, as shown in a survey on Thursday. This improvement in the manufacturing sector has been seen for the second straight month. The PMI, which contracted in the months of April, has now increased to 56.8 in September from 52.0 in August. According to the data, this is the highest increment seen by the country since 2012.
