The fifth serological survey conducted within the boundaries of Delhi has revealed that the national capital is close to attain heard immunity against the Covid-19. The survey revealed that nearly 50% of the two crore population has developed the antibodies against the infection. This simply means that the 50% population have already been infected and recovered with the novel coronavirus.
The recent seroprevalence survey was the fifth such survey to be carried out in Delhi since July 2020. A total of 28,000 samples were observed during the exercise starting from January 11. It is to be noted that the first such survey during July 2020 confirmed the presence of antibodies within the 23 % of the Delhi’s population.
