The recent correction in the shares of RIL has costed Mukesh Ambani to slip from the list of world’s top ten richest individuals alive. Currently he is placed at the eleventh position with the net worth of $76.5 billion (Rs 5.63 lakh crore) behind Sergey Brin, co- founder of Google and Larry Ellison of Oracle Corporation with the respective wealth of $79.2 billion.
The revision of the share price has led RIL to lose nearly 16% from its all time high value of Rs 2,369.35. Earlier this year the net worth of Mukesh Ambani touched the mark of $90 billion (Rs 6.62 lakh crore) making him the fourth richest in the world.
Despite the drop, India’s richest person and the chairperson and managing director of oil-to-retail-to-telecom conglomerate RIL is still up by 33% for the current financial year. The giant has managed to create the wealth of nearly Rs 3 lakh crore for its investors.
