Though the pandemic has brought a tough time for the businesses and it employees, but the worst affected were the women workforce in the MSMEs and the startups who lost their jobs amid the crisis. However, a recent survey by a community social media platform, Local Circles, to find out the status of women in startups, MSME and entrepreneurs has brought good news to the female jobseekers. The survey concludes that around 43 per cent of the startups, MSMEs and entrepreneurs are planning to hire women in the coming 6 months, while 31 per cent reveled that they have reduced the women workforce in the last 8 months. The survey recorded more than 7,000 responses, but none of them reported an increase in the female workforce since the Covid-19 outbreak.
