The Prime Minister of Mauritius, after declaring an emergency due to the spilling of Oil in the Indian Ocean, is seeking compensation. The country has asked the owners of a Japanese ship, that spilled the oil and caused the natural disaster, to compensate for the same. The Ship has spilt around 1,000 tonnes of its cargo of 4,000 tonnes of oil into the sea, which has polluted the coastline of Mauritius. According to the environmental activist, it will takes around 35 years to replenish the area.
