Pope Francis has covered the Homosexual (same-sex) civil unions, which can agitate the conservative opponents in the Catholic Church. He remarked the matter in an interview in a documentary film ‘Francesco‘, that premiered on Wednesday at the Rome film festival. His remarks were, “Homosexual people have right to be in a family. They are children of God and have right to family. Nobody should be thrown out or be made miserable over it. What we have to create is a civil union law. That way they are legally covered. I stood up for that”. The documentary is directed by Evgeny Afineevsky and tells the story of Francis’s papacy over the past seven and a half year duration while covering his several trips before the pandemic spread and his managing of sex scandals that have engulfed the church community.
