IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva said on Tuesday that, the global economy is looking ‘less dire‘ than it did in the month of June. She said the International Monetary Fund will surely make some upward revision to the global forecast of 2020. Georgieva further added that the adversity is far from over and the outcome of the same is long, uneven, and difficult. The IMF initially made a forecast that the sharp contraction of 4.9 per cent will occur in GDP. But now the IMF will publish a new forecast next week when the member countries will participate in the annual meeting which will be held in an online format.
